Monitoring Millions of Executives and Board Members Globally
We developed a platform to do just that
In this article, we present a solution designed to monitor millions of public companies’ executives and board members globally and track one’s connection(s) to frauds and failures. To do so, we leverage Factset’s people data and a proprietary dataset of frauds and failures.
Connecting individuals to events allows us to calculate a risk score at the individual and company level. The scoring process speeds up research whether screening or performing quick background checks.
The main challenge consisted of restructuring dozens of data tables to calculate risk scores.
The project’s main dashboard (video below) was completed in ~2-3 months, performed by a team of 3 combining research and engineering backgrounds.
